Comments: Not all supplements are bad, and I am a fan of supplements when warranted. This article underscores the importance of checking with your medical doctor, pharmacist, and dietitian whether you need a supplement in the first place, which one might be right for you to take, and worth it for you to spend your hard-earned money on. It's also worth checking to see if there's other options available for you to get the benefit of the supplement you may want to take. For example, maybe adding a bit of natural turmeric root to a smoothie may help you get the benefits of curcumin, without the concern as to whether a supplement is safe or not. Always check with your doctor, pharmacist, and dietitian first before taking supplements and regarding whatever supplement regimen you are taking, to ensure they are safe and right for you.
