About the program
This activity is approved by NCBAHM in the AOM-BIO category for 1 credits (course PDA-9513-3). This is either a standalone activity or a follow-up to the distance learning Western Nutrition for the Acupuncturist course. In this activity you review lab work a hypothetical patient brings in and answer 10 questions on a worksheet. The questions are related to identifying what is outside of normal limits, abnormal, or high, what this might mean nutritionally, what additional questions you might want to ask, and any other recommendations you would provide. If you completed the Western Nutrition for the Acupuncturist course, this is a free CEU. You will be sent a code for this course once your purchase of the 4 CEU course is complete. Goals and objectives include: - Goals: support professional skill development in assessing nutrition related labs and support critical thinking related to lab work, how to interpret findings, and communicate questions and recommendations to patients. - Objectives: at the end of this activity participants will be able to feel confident in evaluating and analyzing nutrition-related labs, designing additional questions and/or recommendations for patients, and be able to apply learning in clinical practice. Good luck, and please reach out with any questions!
